If a customer System is monitored by your company or a third-party provider, and you create a zone list for the monitored system, you may link a zone to a Signal Type.
Signal Types are a field on the System / Zone setup form. For companies that are integrating with a third-party central station through Managely, setting up Signal Type records is required.
If your company is not integrating with a third-party central station through Managely, you may setup System Zones and the signal type linked to the corresponding zone is for internal information and reporting.
