Contract Types Overview

Contract Types are used to identify the type of contract your customer has signed.   Using contracts is an optional feature.

Contract types can be for:

  • New Installations
  • System Upgrades
  • Maintenance Agreements
  • Monitoring Agreements
  • Inspection Agreements

When a contract is created for a customer, it may be saved at the Customer level or at the Site level.

Each Contract Type allows a user to specify details and defaults related to the type.  Setting up defaults expedites the data entry process.

  • Length of contract (in days)
  • Types of Systems for which the contract could be used
    • Labor Warranty Type
    • Parts Warranty Type
  • RMR
    • Default monthly RMR Rate
    • Default billing frequency
